About this course

The training course Empowering Diverse Learners: Inclusive Teaching Practices equips teachers and educators with the tools, knowledge and mindset to create and sustain inclusive classrooms. It focuses on understanding and valuing diversity in all its forms - cultural, racial, gender, socio-economic and ability - within the classroom.

Through interactive workshops, lectures, case studies and practical activities, participants engage deeply with inclusion and diversity, conflict resolution, stereotypes and continuous improvement - learning how to integrate these principles into their everyday teaching. The course also connects you with a network of fellow educators committed to inclusive excellence.

Who can apply and how is it funded?

Teachers, trainers, educators and school staff from Erasmus+ programme countries can attend through their organisation's Erasmus+ KA1 project or accreditation. The grant your school receives is designed to cover the course fee, travel and subsistence - for most participants there is no out-of-pocket cost.

What certification do I receive?

Every participant receives a certificate of participation from Active Yourope, and a Europass mobility certificate is granted if you request it.

What does the fee include?

The fee is 80 € per participant per day and covers the full training programme, materials and certificates. It does not cover accommodation or travel - those are covered by your grant's travel and individual support allowances.

Do I need prior training in diversity or inclusion?

No. The course starts from the fundamentals and is designed for teachers of any subject - no prior background in inclusion or diversity work is needed.
