Active Yourope's General Assembly of Members
Under its statute, Active Yourope holds a General Assembly every four years, where the members elect the president and the Steering Committee.
At Active Yourope, the decisions that matter are taken together. Our statute provides for a General Assembly of Members once every four years, where members come together to elect the association’s leadership.
What the General Assembly of Members is
The General Assembly is where all members of Active Yourope meet and decide the direction of the organisation together. Under our statutory documents, it is convened once every four years.
It is the moment when every member has a say, whatever role they hold in the association’s day-to-day work.
Electing the president and the Steering Committee
The General Assembly’s main task is to elect the association’s leadership: the president and the Steering Committee.
The vote belongs to the members, and the result determines who will represent Active Yourope and steer its work in the period ahead.
Why it matters
Active Yourope is an adult education provider, accredited under Erasmus+ in the field of adult education. Its work - training courses, international mobilities and European projects - is built on the direct involvement of its members.
The General Assembly keeps that involvement at the centre of the organisation: a democratic structure, in which the leadership’s mandate comes from the members.
