How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming Education: An Erasmus+ Week on Game-Based Learning
In March 2025, Active Yourope ran an Erasmus+ training week on artificial intelligence and game-based learning in education.
In March 2025, Asociația Active Yourope organised a week of intensive training under the Erasmus+ Accreditation, focused on Artificial Intelligence in education and Game-Based Learning. The programme, led by an international expert, brought together teachers, trainers and volunteers interested in integrating new technologies into teaching.
Five days of workshops, hands-on applications and school visits
The event ran over five days and included theoretical sessions, applied workshops and working visits to partner schools in Craiova. Participants discovered how AI and GBL can stimulate critical thinking, creativity and student engagement in the learning process.
Digital tools explored
The training offered the opportunity to experiment with innovative platforms such as:
- Genially and Delightex, for interactive lessons and gamification;
- Meshy and ReadyPlayer, for 3D models and avatars;
- GooseChase, for educational treasure hunts;
- Mixamo, for animating characters;
- Suno and Leonardo.ai, for generating music and images with AI.
These tools were used to create educational games, digital lessons and interactive visual resources, tailored to the needs of today’s generations of students.
AI ethics and strategic reflection
The sessions included discussions on the ethics of using AI in school, personalised learning and the exploration of emerging platforms such as ChatGPT Escape Rooms, which can be integrated into collaborative activities. The programme ended with a session of reflection and strategic planning, in which each participant developed a plan for integrating innovative methods into their own work.
Reflection and plans for the future
The week concluded with a session of reflection and strategic planning, in which each participant formulated a concrete plan for integrating the new tools and methods into their own work. This experience strengthens Active Yourope’s role as a hub of educational innovation, in line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme and the needs of contemporary education.
