Art, Learning and Inclusion with an International Expert
International expert Anabela Miranda da Torre led Erasmus+ workshops at Active Yourope on art-based learning, inclusion and education for seniors.
In March, Asociația Active Yourope from Craiova carried out an art-based training activity under the Erasmus+ accreditation, having the privilege of hosting Anabela Miranda da Torre, an international expert in arts education, lifelong learning and inclusion.
Over the course of a week, the expert led inspirational workshops for trainers, volunteers and community members, focused on:
- the role of art in developing critical thinking and personal expression;
- art as a pedagogical method and a tool for experiential learning;
- social inclusion through community art projects.
The activities brought to the fore the importance of inclusive education and the active participation of all age groups. A central element was education for seniors, through intergenerational sessions in which older adults explored, alongside trainers, new perspectives on learning through art and on the value of creative expression at any age.
Through this kind of Erasmus+ projects, art becomes a powerful tool for social cohesion and personal development, as well as a practical resource for organisations that want to integrate the principles of inclusive education into their activities.
Asociația Active Yourope continues to promote art-based training and to create contexts in which learning, creativity and inclusion intertwine to generate real and lasting impact in the community.
