Erasmus+ Teaching Assignment in Alicante: Innovative Digital Methods for Adult Education, 2025

In May 2025, a trainer from Asociația Active Yourope in Craiova took part in an international teaching assignment organised in the city of Alicante, Spain, under the Erasmus+ project no. 2024-1-RO01-KA121-ADU-000230728. The mobility, carried out in partnership with the host organisation Associació Educativa i Cultural Blue Beehive, had as its main objective the professional development of adult-education staff, through exploring innovative teaching methods centred on game-based learning and the integration of digital technologies.

An intensive programme of 8 digital-training modules

The Romanian trainer led practical sessions focused on:

• the theory of motivation in adult education;
• educational gamification;
• augmented (AR) and virtual (VR) reality in learning;
• developing critical thinking through collaborative activities;
• educational digital escape rooms;
• interactive narratives for adults;
• immersive AR/VR simulations.

• educational storytelling: Twine;
• pedagogical games: Breakout EDU, ActionBound;
• digital treasure hunts: GooseChase.com;
• 3D creation: ReadyPlayer.me (avatars), Meshy.ai (modelling), Thingiverse (resources);
• 3D animation: Mixamo.com.
