Erasmus+ Teaching Assignment: Digital Skills and Social Entrepreneurship in Adult Education
An Active Yourope trainer delivered an Erasmus+ teaching assignment in Deventer on digital and social entrepreneurship in adult education.
As part of the Erasmus+ project no. 2024-1-RO01-KA121-ADU-000230728, in its second year of accreditation, a trainer from Asociația Active Yourope carried out a teaching assignment in the field of adult education in Deventer, the Netherlands, at the partner institution Both Online. The activity aimed to pass on practical and theoretical skills in digital and social entrepreneurship, online marketing strategies and modern methods for facilitating educational processes.
During the teaching assignment, the trainer delivered courses and thematic workshops focused on recognising opportunities and developing ideas through the Digital Strategy Canvas, as well as on creating sustainable business models with social impact using the Social Business Model Canvas. In the practical workshops, participants applied digital marketing tools, learned to set SMART objectives, plan an editorial calendar and use Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics to monitor and optimise online campaigns.
In addition to the teaching activities, the programme included collaborative learning through games and critical-thinking challenges, intercultural experiences such as a bicycle treasure hunt to discover the city of Deventer, a study visit to the Department of Commerce and Entrepreneurship at Saxion University, and a meeting with the social enterprise “Brownies & Downies”, an example of integrating the social dimension into entrepreneurship.
The teaching assignment helped strengthen digital and pedagogical skills, develop the ability to facilitate collaborative learning, and use innovative assessment methods through tools such as Genially, Breakout EDU and Kahoot. At the same time, the experience supported intercultural communication and adaptability in international educational contexts.
Impact and results for Asociația Active Yourope: through this mobility, the organisation strengthened its expertise in adult education and gained new methodological resources for future projects. The skills transferred within the association’s team will contribute to developing innovative and inclusive training programmes tailored to the current needs of adult learners. The international partnerships established in the Netherlands also reinforce the association’s openness to European collaboration and create opportunities to expand its activities in education and social entrepreneurship.
