Erasmus+ teaching mobility for an Active Yourope trainer: artificial intelligence in adult education

An Active Yourope trainer delivered an Erasmus+ teaching mission in Alicante on the practical, ethical use of AI in adult education.

Active Yourope trainer delivering the Erasmus+ teaching mission at Kayros Digital Innovation in Alicante

The Active Yourope Association has carried out a new international teaching mobility, dedicated to strengthening the digital competences of staff working in adult education.

The activity took place under Erasmus+ project 2025-1-RO01-KA121-ADU-000339236, year 3 of the Erasmus+ accreditation, and contributed to building the organisation’s capacity to integrate artificial intelligence, practically and responsibly, into its adult training activities.

Our trainer delivered a teaching mission at Kayros Digital Innovation, S.L., a partner organisation in Alicante, Spain. The training programme, structured around five activities, centred on the practical, ethical and learner-centred use of artificial intelligence in education, training design, content creation and digital innovation.

Instructional design and lesson planning with AI

The first activity was a workshop on AI-assisted instructional design. The trainer demonstrated prompt engineering techniques for creating educational content and guided participants through practical exercises in building lesson plans with the support of AI tools.

The second session focused on AI-supported assessment and feedback: creating tests, rubrics and formative assessments with artificial intelligence platforms, as well as developing participants’ capacity to critically analyse the accuracy and pedagogical value of automatically generated feedback.

An important component of the mobility addressed the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in education. Participants discussed algorithmic bias detection, data protection and responsible AI adoption, starting from real case studies, and drew up their own ethical benchmarks for training work.

The Active Yourope trainer led a co-creation lab in which the Kayros educators jointly designed AI-based learning activities and transferable resources - lesson plans, content plans and assessment prototypes -, adaptable to their own educational context.

The mobility ended with a reflection and transfer session presenting the reusable training materials and the main learning outcomes. The session also included a professional exchange with the Kayros team, aimed at identifying directions for future cooperation between the two organisations.

New competences, put to use in the organisation’s future activities

Throughout the week, the trainer received constant support from the host mentor, through daily monitoring meetings and structured observation and feedback sessions. The experience consolidated concrete competences in AI-assisted instructional design, ethical evaluation of automatically generated content, facilitation of co-creation sessions and intercultural communication - competences that the Active Yourope Association will integrate into its future adult education courses and workshops.

Strengthening the European dimension of the Active Yourope Association

This teaching mission is an important step in strengthening the European dimension of the Active Yourope Association and in transferring international good practice to local activities. Under the Erasmus+ accreditation, the organisation aims to continuously develop its team’s digital competences and to bring modern, internationally tested tools into adult education in Romania.

This activity was carried out under the Active Yourope Association’s Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of adult education, project 2025-1-RO01-KA121-ADU-000339236.
