Erasmus+ Job Shadowing: Adult Education Through Inclusion and Sustainability
Adina-Ionela Tătaru took part in an Erasmus+ job shadowing in Ibi, Alicante, focused on inclusion, sustainability and digitalisation.
Asociația Active Yourope’s participation in Erasmus+ programmes constantly brings opportunities for professional development and the exchange of best practices at European level. In the second year of Erasmus+ accreditation, a member of the organisation, Tătaru Adina-Ionela, took part in a job shadowing mobility held between 12 and 18 April 2025, under project no. 2024-1-RO01-KA121-ADU-000230728. The activity was hosted by the Spanish organisation Associació Educativa i Cultural Blue Beehive in Ibi, Alicante, and focused on adult education through a programme structured around inclusion, sustainability, digitalisation and educational management.
Over the seven days of mobility, the participant was introduced to the host organisation’s strategic objectives and projects, with the chance to observe adult-training sessions based on active and experiential methods. The programme included activities dedicated to integrating the principles of circular economy and sustainability into educational content, workshops on social inclusion and personalised learning, and an outdoor-education experience focused on urban ecology and responsible consumption. Innovative methods such as Project-Based Learning, digital platforms for collaboration and assessment, and the internal planning and coordination processes of educational organisations were also explored.
The results of the mobility were reflected in a stronger ability to design inclusive and sustainable learning activities, the development of digital skills, the acquisition of modern teaching methods and the gaining of an international perspective on adult education. At the same time, the experience helped build confidence in the ability to implement innovative educational initiatives and strengthened collaboration skills in international teams.
Through this Erasmus+ mobility, Asociația Active Yourope confirms its commitment to promoting inclusive and sustainable education and to making the most of European instruments in support of adult learners. Integrating the job shadowing results into the association’s activities will help improve the quality of its training and strengthen the European impact of the projects developed in the community.
