Active Yourope strengthens its international cooperation by taking part in a networking and matchmaking event in Iceland
An Active Yourope representative took part in a networking and matchmaking event in Reykjavík, held under the EEA Civil Society Fund Romania.
Between 8 and 10 September 2026, a representative of the Active Yourope Association was in Reykjavík, Iceland, for an international information, networking and matchmaking event organised under the EEA Civil Society Fund Romania.
The event created a framework for dialogue and cooperation between civil society organisations from Romania and Iceland, facilitating the exchange of experience, the presentation of the participating organisations’ initiatives and the identification of areas of common interest. The matchmaking component was aimed in particular at developing bilateral relations and creating new partnership opportunities between Romanian and Icelandic organisations. For Active Yourope, taking part was an important opportunity to expand its international network of collaborators, to establish new contacts and to explore the possibilities of developing future joint projects.
The organisation’s presence in Reykjavík is part of Active Yourope’s strategic direction of strengthening European and international cooperation and developing sustainable partnerships in fields such as education, civic participation, social inclusion and community development.
The EEA Civil Society Fund is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants and works to strengthen civil society and active citizenship and to support vulnerable groups, based on values such as human rights, democracy and the rule of law. By taking part in such initiatives, the Active Yourope Association continues to build bridges between organisations, communities and ideas, contributing to the development of European collaborations capable of generating opportunities and impact in the long term.
